This stands for Police Pistol Combat    Here is what it is all about . . .
Police Pistol Combat shooting differs from conventional bullseye target in several ways. For
example, humanoid targets are used in PPC, and competitors might have to shoot with their
weak hand, shoot from a variety of positions instead of just standing; and be required to
reload their firearms quickly. Range distances are designed to approximate the distances in
genuine confrontations police might have to face.

In our Program we shoot from :

5 Yards  /   7 Yards   /  15 Yards   /   and   25 Yards

As noted you will be shooting:  Standing, Kneeling, Sitting and Prone

The various courses of Fire include from 6-12 rounds in timed frames from 12 seconds to 2
minutes and 30 seconds.

For many years, PPC was shot with revolvers, but today both revolvers and semi-automatics
are used

Equipment Required:  Any safe operating handgun (.22 cal. or  larger), a secure holster
that covers the firearms trigger guard, along with a minimum of four (4) extra magazines or
speed loaders with carriers.

Safety:  Eye and ear protection is required at all times while on the range.  A mandatory
shooter orientation is required before participating in any formal competition.
Since Competitive shooting isn't for everyone, we also
invite Club Members to just come out on Practice
days and shoot -- Just for Fun!!
